LieAbility — free browser imposter party game for 3 to 12 players

LieAbility is a free browser-based social-deduction party game for 3–12 players in 2026. Everyone joins from their own phone with a 4-letter room code — no install, no signup, no purchase. Each round, one player is secretly the imposter. The rest try to spot them.

How do you play LieAbility?

One person taps Create Room to host. The site shows a 4-letter code. Everyone else opens playlieability.com on their own phone, taps Join Room, and types the code. Pick a game mode, play a round in 1–3 minutes, vote on who you think the imposter was, then deal the next round. Best with 4–8 people in the same room.

What game modes are there?

LieAbility ships with three imposter-style modes. Every mode runs in your browser and uses the same room code system.

• Off Script — everyone gets the same prompt at the same time except the imposter, who gets a different one. You all answer in parallel, then vote on who was off-script.
• Loose Lips — turn-based and played out loud. Everyone sees a category and a secret word; the imposter sees the category but not the word. Each player says one word that hints at the secret. The imposter has to bluff.
• Read the Room — tap-an-avatar. Everyone gets a “most likely to” prompt and taps a player. The imposter has to guess what the rest of the group would tap.

How many players do you need?

LieAbility supports 3–12 players. The sweet spot is 4–8 in the same room. With 3 players, only Off Script makes sense; Loose Lips and Read the Room need at least 4. Rooms cap at 12 by design to keep round pacing tight.

Is LieAbility free?

Yes — LieAbility is free to play in any modern mobile or desktop browser. No account, no download, no in-app purchase to start a game. You only need a phone and a few friends in the room.
